DUI Driver Hits Boise Police Vehicle

A DUI driver hits Boise police vehicle on Friday. The police officer had received a report about the driver and was looking for him when he was hit.

According to the authorities, the accident took place on the Hill Road near Forsythia. The officer was responding to a report about the drunk driver at the time. He was looking for the driver and spotted him near Forsythia. The driver in the other vehicle was coming into the same lane as the officer, but from the opposite direction. In order to avoid a collision, the officer parked his vehicle to the right side of the lane.

However, the other driver came straight at the officer and hit the vehicle head-on. The collision apparently took place at a speed which was not very high. As a result, the officer or the other driver didn’t sustain any serious injuries. There was, however, significant damage to the vehicles as they had to be towed away from the site of the accident.

The other driver has since been arrested on DUI charges. Driving under the influence (DUI) is a serious offense in the state of Idaho. Penalties for a first offense DUI include up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000. The driver may also face license suspension for a minimum of 30 days and up to 150 days. The penalties grow more serious with subsequent DUI offenses. For the second offense, these include a prison term of up to 1 year and a fine of up to $2,000. The third DUI carries penalties of a prison term of up to 10 years with a fine of up to $5,000.

In the present case, it is not clear whether this was the driver’s first DUI offense or a subsequent offense. Police investigations of the case are still incomplete.
